inTime was selected as a courier service by an automobile manufacturer for the short-notice delivery of critical components from the Spanish Villareal. Due to the volume of the delivery, we needed two aircraft with huge load capacity for the transportation.
Since the necessary landing permissions for aircraft of this size were not available from the German FAA due to the short-notice nature of the project, we offered our client the option to have the goods flown in via Luxembourg on a Boeing 737 and an Antonov AN-12 as the landing permission processes run a little swifter there.
After the arrival of the components at the airport in Luxembourg, these were transported to the consignees in two semi-trailer trucks.
The possibility of making the transportation process fully transparent also convinced our client to opt for the inTime tracking service. Thanks to agile processes from inTime and the efforts of a dedicated team, the goods reached the German consignees premises 15 minutes before production would have had to grind to a halt.
