The logistics area is slowly taking shape, the multi-story shell of the office building and the size of the new transshipment hall can even be recognized by the inexperienced eye. The courier company plans to relocate its Nuremberg-Feucht branch this fall. Röttenbach's Mayor Thomas Schneider and representatives of inTime examined the development on site and picked up the traditional groundbreaking ceremony. "The new construction of our location in the metropolitan region of Nuremberg is one of the largest investments of our company in recent years", inTime managing director Gerd Röttger explains. Overall, casa Baubetreuung is investing 6.5 million Euros in land and buildings together with inTime. The logistics company thus creates room for the targeted growth course and, for the requirements of agile logistics, also the necessary conditions at the new location. Mittelfranken is for inTime the hub for the traffic to the partners in Eastern Europe, but also to the customers in southern Germany, Austria and Italy. "We want to develop our business further. But especially with growing shipment numbers in the handling of cargo at our facility in Feucht we will adjoin capacity limits," said Gerd Röttger. The new site in Röttenbach therefore means an area expansion of around 3,500 to 10,500 square meters of office and logistics space. The transshipment hall alone will have a size of 1,600 square meters.
Moving to the new site will also entail an increase in staff. 55 employees are currently working at inTime in Nürnberg-Feucht. "We plan to create 50 new jobs at the Röttenbach location over the next few years, along with our targeted growth," explains Michael Dötterl, Head of Operations in Nuremberg. Therefore, the express logistics specialist is already looking for motivated personnel for jobs in order processing, dispatching, in the warehouse and as a professional driver.
