Things have progressed so far, in fact, that it takes very little imagination to picture the future hustle-bustle of regular operations at the cross-docking terminal. The shell of the three-story office building should be finished in just a few weeks; the interior finishing work has already begun. The story is much the same at the warehouse, where construction workers will soon start attaching the siding. Interior finishing work will also start at that time. However, the project is not yet done. All the outdoor space at the 10,500 square meter site still has to be completed by autumn. This includes building paved roads, parking spaces and room for trucks to maneuver as well as erecting a fence around the perimeter.
November 1, 2019 is “go” day. On that date, the new site in the greater Nuremberg area will start operations. That’s why the Isernhagen-based firm is getting ready: It is scouting for new people to join its team in dispatching, order processing, warehousing and as commercial truck drivers.
